Tommies Basketball Teams Medal Winners at CCAA's

The CCAA Basketball Nationals proved to medal winning events for both St Thomas University Tommies teams. The ACAA champion women’s basketball Tommies, after playing four hours previous, turned around to defeat the Grant MacKwan Griffins comfortably 73-56 to claim the bronze medal at the 2012 CCAA National Championships (more below). And the men’s basketball Tommies overcame a mid second half break down to turn a 12-point fourth quarter deficit back into an eight-point lead and the eventual national bronze medal victory on Saturday night (more below).
