MTA Badminton Wins ACAA Gold

MTA Badminton Wins ACAA Gold

After a tough day of competition, the Mount Allison Mounties walked away with the ACAA Badminton gold.

Winning both men's singles and men's doubles, and finishing second in women's singles, women's doubles and mixed doubles was enough to earn them the title of Champions.

In men's singles action, Jaryd Morrissey defeated both Patrick Jackson from Dal AC and Jonah Wilton from HC in two, while UKC's Sam White battled him to 3 sets.  Unversity of Sainte Anne did not have a competitor.

In men's doubles, Dal AC took Humza Munawar and Riley Shewan of MTA to three sets, while all other games went to two.

The University of King's College won the silver medal, with Sam Lawther being crowned the women's singles champion and Benn Van Ryn and Martha Reid earning themselves the mixed doubles title.

Holland College's Kristen Visser and Juana Zhang won the women's doubles category.
