Mystics top Mounties

Jacob Sheffer came off the bench and was on fire from three point range today connecting on 5 of his 7 three point shots to score 21 points and lead the home team Mystics to a 73-54 victory. 

The Mysitcs had a strong second quarter on defense which they ouscored the Mounties 17-3 and provided the 14 point halftime lead. In a back and forth second half where both teams seemed to find a little more scoring than the first half, the difference was the shooting from three point range. The Mystics were 6/11 from deep whereas the Mounties were only 2/8. 

Leading scorers for the Mystics was Sheffer with 21, Tariq Thomas and Ben Kidston with 9 each, Liam Mitchell and Tario Sands bith added 8 a piece. Drew Jacklin had 6 points and led all rebounders on the Mystics squad with 9.

For the Mounties, Mack Chisolm led them in scoring with 14, followed by Brett Curtis with 10 , and Jeshua Becker, Seongwoo Park both with 8. Park also led his team in rebounding with 8.

Next up for both teams will be the Tommies from St.Thomas. The Tommies will host the Mystics for their home opener on Nov 3rd and then the Mounties will host the Tommies for their seson opener on the 4th. Both games can be viewed on live webcast at
