(HALIFAX, NS) On Friday, October 28th, the mystics faced off against the Blue Devils in their home gym to start the year off with a 3-0 win. The scores were (25-20, 25-14, 25-23).

The Mystics offense was lead by Madyson Parlee on the left side and Marcy MacNeil on the right side. Parlee had 16 attempts and MacNeill had 24, both highly contributing to the Mystics kills. On the defensive side Parlee, setter McKenzie Antler and libero Maia Green carried the team in digs with 24 between the three of them. Middle Cela MacLellan had four services aces as well.

UKCs offense was lead by Nicole Ponto with five kills and Lauren Read with seven. Read stacked up 10 digs and just behind her was Halle Andreasen with nine. 

Both teams will play again this weekend. The Mystics will face Crandall at home tomorrow, October 29th and Kings will take on Crandall as well on Sunday.
