The UNBSJ Seawolves and the Holland College Hurricanes matched up in a thriller Sunday in ACAA men's soccer. It did not start out that way. Cory Mullett scorned on a penalty shot 12 minutes into the game to give the Hurricanes an early .1-0 lead. They went up 2-0 in the 43rd minute on a goal by Ehab Moustafa. Aleca Iatran made it 3-0 for the Hurricanes at the 64 minute mark. The lead looked insurmountable but the Seawolves relentlessly pressed forward and generated many good chances off crosses into the box. The persistence finally paid off when Reece Kelly scored in the 80th minute and the game suddenly becomes tense when Alex Allison scored on a penalty shot three minutes later. That was all the Seawolves could muster as the Hurricanes held on for a 3-2 victory.
The Hurricanes are now 7-1-1 while UNBSJ is 5-3-1. The Seawolves host Crandall Univeristy Wednesday, October 9th at 8:00 PM while Holland College hosts St. Thomas University October 16 at 7:00 PM
