Rams defeat Hurricanes

The Holland College Hurricanes (5-5) hosted the Dalhousie AC Rams (4-6) to start the second half of the ACAA season.

The Hurricanes struggled early against Dalhousie's strong blocking, losing their first set 25-16.

The Hurricanes then rallied back well after losing their first set, winning their next set 25-23 in a razor close finish. Morgan White, who finished the game with 7 kills and 5 aces, helped keep the Hurricanes in the set with incredible serving.

Dalhousie AC won the next two sets 25-18 and the final set 29-27, in an incredible barnburner finish that showed the Hurricanes staying calm under pressure and almost winning the set at multiple times.

Key players for the Hurricanes were Jenna O'Neil with 12 kills and 15 digs, Marissa O'Donnell with 31 assists, and as previously mentioned Morgan White with 7 kills and 5 aces.

Dal Rams were led by Callie Immerkar's 18 kills, Catherin Wilkie with 24 assists and Megan McCoombs with 5 blocks.

The two teams will play each other again tomorrow, Sunday January 12th at the MacMillan Center for Community Engagement, 12pm start.
