The Holland College Hurricanes hosted the UNBSJ Seawolves on Sunday at the McMillan Centre, in ACAA Women's Volleyball action.

The Seawolves won their first set 25-10, with Seawolves second-year outside hitter Kate McLeod, finishing the set with four kills.

The Hurricanes kept the score close early into the second set but fell short at the end. The Seawolves won 25-18.

The Seawolves' serving prowess was a major factor in Sunday's game. After two sets of play, Amy Carey and Dominique Gendron each had four aces.

The Hurricanes fought tooth and nail but couldn't pull out the win, losing 31-29, and leading to a 3-0 Seawolves win.

The key players for the Hurricanes were Morgan White, who had 10 kills and four aces, Jenna O'Neil, who had five kills and 12 digs, and Marissa O'Donnell, who had 23 assists.

The key players for the Seawolves were Dominique Gendron, with 10 kills and five aces, Emily Robichaud with eight kills, and Amy Carey with 30 assists and four aces.

Both teams return to the McMillan Centre next weekend as the 2024-25 ACAA Volleyball Championships are set to begin on Friday.
