The Holland College Hurricanes (7-4) hosted the Dalhousie AC Rams (2-9) in their second matchup of the weekend.
The Hurricanes looked to continue their winning ways against Dal AC. The Hurricanes won their last game against Dal AC the day before, where all three sets were won comfortably.
The Hurricanes won their first set 25-21 and showed control throughout the first set of play.
Dal AC seemed to find a way to creep their way back into every set, but the Hurricanes would always pull back ahead. The Hurricanes won their second set 25-23 with strong kills from their outside hitters Carson Grey and Dominik Pineau.
The Hurricanes dominated the 3rd set, taking a 6-1 lead early into the set, forcing Dal AC to use a timeout to regroup. The Hurricanes continued their domination winning their final set 25-11.
Key players for the Hurricanes were Carson Gray who led the team with 14 kills and 8 digs, Dominik Pineau with 6 kills, and John MacKinnon with 21 assists.
Key players for the Dal AC Rams included Orson di Rosa with 11 kills, Dan Pettipas with 31 assists, and Alastair Stockdale with 5 kills and 7 digs.
Holland College looks to stay in the win column as they travel to New Brunswick to face the Crandall Chargers on January 25th.
